Book Clubs

I’m a bit of a book lover and it seems my friends are too.

The Book Club of the 1st have two books on the burner.

For January we are reading The German Girl by Armando Lucas Correa. (Historical fiction, WWII) A 12 year old girl flees the Nazis with her family only to find the haven overseas they’ve been promised is quite the opposite. : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29430755-the-german-girl

And for February – (R)evolution by PJ Manney (Sci-Fi/ Nanotechnology/Secret societies)
Technology is about to make some degenerative diseases a thing of the past – until  research is stollen and thousands die, changing the corse of research and human evolution.

We meet in person every other month, chatting about it further it in our FB only community. If you want to join us, message me on the FB page and we’ll get you hooked up.

I belong to a Paranormal group called AGHOST. We just started a Book & Movie Club, with a Paranormal – Horror bend. We’re still in our infancy so this one isn’t all the way plotted out.

To get us through December we read Joe Hill’s Heart Shaped Box, (Horror) When an ex-rocker buys a ghost in a heart shaped box, he’s forced to deal with his demons. Great read.

For January we’re reading When Smoke Gets In Your Eyes by Caitlyn Doughty. (Non-Fiction) A crematory assistant details her experiences. Enjoying this one, just having a hard time finding time to read it.

The movie part is there because its seriously hard to find ghost movies that are scary and quality. We thought it would be fun to share the ones we find with each other. That one might be sporadic.

We’ll meet in person every other month, offsetting my other book club at Spooked In Seattle.

Now that I’ve talked your ear off, feel free to comment and recommend books and movies below :-).
